Yes, very often you can use different brands of inverters together, but the software version of the inverters that you use have to be the same.
We have various inverter models to choose from. The Victor 5kVA/5KW inverter can be used without batteries. During the daytime, it can use power directly from solar panels and automatically switch over to utility power during night time. This will allow cost savings over time. Batteries can then be added at a later stage.
No the inverter cannot provide power from both the grid and solar panels at the same time, power will be generated from the solar panels and batteries or Eskom and not able to combine the two.
No, the inverter must be kept dry and dust free. No direct sunlight either.
Yes, we have a team of excellent technicians that can do repairs on our products. We also keep spare parts on most of the stock in order to assist warranty claims and out-of-warranty repairs.
The output Hertz of the generator is not 50Hz so the inverter does not identify the generator as a valid power source.
The inverter only takes what is needed from the solar panels, and will only go higher when more electricity is used.
Yes The Sun Pays inverters are programmable.
Yes, you can use an air compressor or a vacuum cleaner to clean the dust from your inverter. Make sure to switch the inverter off before you start cleaning. Direct the nozzle to the vents on the inverter to clean inside as well.
Confirm that the battery isolator / circuit breaker is switched on and the power button on the inverter is switched on. Confirm that the battery voltage is above 46V (for 48V type inverters).
When the power from the solar panels is less than the power drawn, power will be provided from the source as set in setting number 1. It will switch back to the solar panels once the MPPT has reset when the solar power be sufficient. Also confirm that the setting number 1 is on SBU for priority solar>battery>utility.
The globe display works as follows : 0 - 25% , 25% - 50%, 50% - 75% , 75% - 100%. It is like a graphical gauge. This indicates the load compared to the inverter's maximum. To indicate an more accurate digital display, you can use the up and down scroll buttons. Scroll until you find load / W symbol and a number at the right hand corner of the display.
This indicates the unit connected to the panel, in other words , the solar panel icon acts as bar chart. It shows \"PV input power\" (really Solar Charge Controller output power) rounded to the nearest kilowatt. It's like a graphical gauge.
You can connect multiple appliances drawing (in total) less than 4kW (5kVA 4kW model) or the 5kW (5kVA 5kW model). It is advisable to first contact your installer to do a calculation to determine the power the system should be designed for. Overly large inductive loads (usually electric motors) are one of the main causes of inverter failure. General items not recommended to be connected to a backup system is as follows: (usually because the Watts drawn is too much for the inverter system design.) - Geysers (resistive load) - Stove (resistive load) - Pool pump (inductive load) - Air conditioners (Mostly inductive, and some resistive) - Heating appliances (Electric heater, deep fryers, kettle, etc)
Inverters that have parallel functionality can be set up in multiple configurations to increase the power output which is synchronized. Single phase parallel setup for two inverters: 5KVA + 5KVA = 10kVA synchronous single phase power supply. Can be linked up to total nine inverters, thus 45kVA, Hence, one can start off with a single inverter and add additional units later when the need arise. Three phase parallel setup: Three inverters connected to supply a three phase power supply. Multiples of 3 inverters can be added to increase the three phase capacity to maximum of 15 kVA per phase. The firmware version must be the same.
An inverter converts the raw direct current (DC) solar power as produced by your solar panels into the alternating current (AC) power that comes out of your wall sockets.
The fan is locked and needs to be replaced. Return the unit to The Sun Pays.
Switch the inverter on so that the LCD screen is active. Code 04 error is generated when the battery voltage is less than 1V from the battery cut off voltage setting. Confirm that the inverter settings is correct here (Gel Batteries) and here (LiFePO4 Batteries). Make sure that solar and/or utility supply is active/available to charge the batteries.
Internal component failure. Return the unit to The Sun Pays
This means output power de-rating. From the picture you will see that the unit is in bypass and the panels are only charging the batteries. A few factors can cause this. When your unit is set up to receive power from the grid and if ESKOM would have a spike ( volts drop from 220/230 to 185 for example ), then the unit will bypass the current directly to the output. These spikes are not good for appliances. Settings and design of the solar system can play a huge role. Using a generator which function as \"backup grid supply\" can also supply a voltage drop which will then generate code 10.
A. Restart the inverter. B. Check L/N cables, They may be switched. C. When connecting parallel systems in single phase, check if all sharing cables are connected to all the inverters. D. If the problem persists, please contact The Sun Pays.
A. Make sure that the inverters in parallel have the same firmware installed. If not, B. Send back to supplier, they can do the software update. If they cannot, you will be informed.
A. Check if the sharing cables are connected securely. B. If the problem persists, please contact The Sun Pays.
A. Check if the communication cables are connected securely and restart the inverter. B. If the problem persists, please contact the Sun Pays.
Switch the inverter on so that the LCD screen is active. Switch the inverter off and quickly enter the menu by holding the enter key. The screen stays active for a few seconds after the inverter was switched off. Go to setting 28 and change as desired. Press enter and exit the menu. Switch the inverter off and on again. Confirm that the setting was changed as desired.
Press and hold the enter button for at least 3 seconds. Navigate through the menu items by using the up/down arrows. To change a setting, press the enter button again. Press the up/down arrows to change the value of the setting and press enter to save the value. When done, press the escape button to exit the menu.
Confirm that setting 01 is set to SBU Confirm that setting 16 is set to SnU
Please check setting number 16 to allow for utility charging and ensure that charge current is not too high. (setting 11)
This can be caused by incorrect settings on the inverter, setting 01 must be set to UTI for the inverter to switch over immediately. This is advisable for off-grid systems where solar panels are the primary source and a generator used for backup. The inverter will only switch over automatically once the batteries have reached the parameter as set in setting 12 (Back to utility).
The first part is that when a battery is declared to be weak (if it is below the Voltage of the Back to Utility setting, setting 12), OR the battery voltage falls to less than 2.0?V above setting 29 (and hence a low battery warning), then the inverter-charger will switch from battery to line (bypass) mode. So make sure that setting 29 is at least 2.0?V lower than setting 12, otherwise setting 12 will be ignored.
Yes the laptop/computer needs to be connected to the inverter with the cable that is supplied to be able to monitor your usage and battery levels.
Yes the watchpower cd is included with the inverter and can be installed on your laptop/computer. It works while the computer is on.
You can monitor the power consumption and battery levels with the watchpower software that is provided with the inverter.
The password can be found in the manual - it is administrator
No not without a raspberry PI with the proper ICC (Inverter Control Centre) software loaded.
Lithium ion batteries are the best option for a solar system, although other battery types can be more affordable.
The AH rating is the measure of the total charge capacity of a battery pack. Higher values can therefore mean longer run time and additional power.
No, your battery has specific charge and discharge characteristics. It varies between brands and amp hour sizes.
No, this will cause for a higher resistance when drawing load and charging of the batteries through the length and thickness of the cable being used. This can cause power loss and damage to the batteries.
It all depends on the type of battery (Lithium vs Gell), the battery capacity, the inverter settings for the DoD / cut-off value and most importantly, the load being run on the inverter. The rated capacity of a battery is useally given at a certain rate. The battery capacity will be less for higher discharge rates. To calculate how long your battery will last, check out this link which takes into consideration most factors as mentioned before.
The battery BMS goes into sleep mode if the battery is not used for an extended time period. To wake the BMS, press and hold the reset button for 2 seconds until the lights on the front of the battery is flickering.
Our lithium battery (LiFePO4) can be used as a regular 48V battery bank without communication cables. Please ensure the inverter settings is set properly to give the correct charge currents, charge voltage and cut-off voltage. The communication cables can be used to monitor data from the battery using a pc or laptop (Voltages, capacity, no of cycles, alarms, faults, etc).
The battery is most likely in sleep mode. Press the reset button for 2 seconds to wake the battery.
Battery is most likely in under voltage protect mode. It needs to be charged to above 44V in order to release the under-voltage protection. Please contact technical@thesunpays.co.za to make a booking. Also, confirm that the inverter has the correct cut-off voltage setting.
The LiFePO4 lithium battery can either be installed flat or upright. It is recommended to install the battery pack in a battery cabinet. Do not install it directly on the floor. Rather put it on a non-conductive material such as wooden planks.
You can add more batteries to the battery bank so you have a lower depth of discharge, Set setting 01 to SOL to minimize the time power is drawn from batteries. This will change the power source to the following Solar > Utility > Batteries. Do not overcharge, ensure the correct cut-off voltage and charge voltage. For gel and Lithium batteries, never use the battery equalization function on the inverter (keep it disabled).
No, your manufacturer has specific charge and discharge characteristics. It varies between brands and amp hour sizes.
Confirm that the inverter settings is correct here (Gel Batteries) and here (LiFePO4 Batteries). Ensure enough panel capacity is available or the electricity drawn during the day is not larger than the available supply to charge the battery.
Yes. Solar panels are easy to maintain as they have no moving parts that can break. The most maintenance you would have to do is make sure they're free of dust, pollen, leaves and other debris. Whatever is obstructing your panels will make for less efficient energy production.
Solar panels produce direct current (DC). The voltage and current varies according to the sunlight received.
Open circuit voltage (VOC) is the maximum voltage that the solar panel can produce. The VOC is the number to use when determining how many solar panels you can wire in series going into your inverter or charge controller.
There are a few factors that influence the panels voltage, amps and watts. This factor will be round about 10% of the total performance of the panel.
Solar panels operate most effectively in full sun, therefore when it is cloudy it can only produce about 10-25% of their typical output which will have an effect on the charge of your panels.
Yes, you can, but this is not always advisable. Be really careful combining different amperages, voltages and photovoltaic brands together.
Yes, as indicated in the installation manual, and confirmed by the sales/technical staff. This is to protect you and the system.
No, when doing a solar panel installation you must always use the same data specification.
In South Africa, the optimal angle for a fixed installation is usually latitude (Gauteng roughly 25 degrees) plus a few (0 to 12) degrees to ensure closer to 90 degrees to the sun's rays in winter. This will allow optimal power collection from the sun during most months of the year. Solar panels facing north will be able to harness solar power during the morning and afternoon. For homes with roofs facing East/West, two separate charge controllers is required which is connected to the batteries (alternatively, two inverters connected in parallel with each solar bank connected to an inverter).
The output of a solar panel is affected by the angle at which it is mounted, temperature, sunlight intensity (Irradiance), panel age and other factors. Confirm the panels is mounted at the recommended angle. Confirm the panels is facing north. Confirm no shadows is cast on the panels (palm trees, satellite dish, chimney, etc). Confirm the panels is clean (dust free, bird droppings, etc). Check that all the connectors are properly crimped and no water is present. Solar panels usually give between 85% to 95% of its rated power. This all depends on various factors as mentioned above.
Yes, it will help to clean panels regularly. Panels can be cleaned by using water to wipe off any dust or other debris that might have accumulated on it.
When welding, check if any welding spatula has dropped on the back of the silicone base. If it did check for any deep penetrating holes. If found this will cause the solar cell to short out and not provide power. The welder can cause and electrical magnetic field which can cause damage to the panel's diodes and this also prevent the panel from providing power.
Check if the panel is not in the shade. Check the connectors (MC4 connectors) if they are connected securely.
We would need to know 1)the depth of the pump, 2)the static water Level, 3)tank Elevation, 4)pipe Size, 5)pipe above ground length, 6)water Tank size and 7)the amount of water you will need per day or per hour.
No batteries are not used. Batteries add costs and complexities to the system which then require a lot of maintenance and make the system less efficient as well as unaffordable.
The Max head refers to a pump's capability to push water upwards. Also known as the vertical lift.
Recommended power source The Sun Pays 330W solar panel (Can operate with The Sun Pays 280W and 300W panels).
No it does not. It also cannot run dry.
Please check the following Table for cable sizes based on pump depth.
This is dependent on the pump which is used. Please see our solar pump buying guide on our website.
Yes, the electrical motors on the solar borehole pumps is brushless. The motor is driven by the special DC pump controller which adjust the pump speed according to the supplied power from the solar panels.
Check that the correct motor for the pump controller is used. Also check for possible short circuit on the motor cables.
Open circuit detected on the motor wires. Check the motor cable wiring and connections.
Stall protection. The electrical motor is struggling to get up to speed. Check that the correct motor is used. Check the submersible cable resistance (A guide is available on our website on cable thickness). Confirm that the power source give sufficient power. If all else fails, it is likely that the pump motor bearing is seized (arrange for the pump to be repaired)
UVW three-phase short circuit. Check wiring of motor cable. Pump bearing is seized or dirty.
The power supply voltage is too low. Confirm that the power supply voltage is within the controller range.
The power supply voltage is too high. Confirm that the power supply voltage is within the controller range.
Dry run protection. There may be some air in the pipes or the water level is below the pump. Wait 30 minutes and retry.
High Temperature Protection. Switch the controller off and wait 1 hours for controller to cool down.
Switch the controller off and disconnect the power supply. Wait 1 minute. Reconnect the power supply and switch the controller on.
Low power mode. For solar panels, wait until the sun is shining properly on the solar panels. For battery mode, recharge the batteries.
The power supply connection is incorrect. Check the polarity of the cables and connect it correctly.
Municipal water supply is usually between 1bar and 5bar (depending on location and time of day). High pressure solar geysers can be connected directly to a high pressure water supply such as municipal water supply without a pressure reducing valve. This will allow integration to an existing plumbing system. Hot water pressure at the taps or shower head will be similar to the cold water pressure and will allow higher flow rates. Low pressure solar geysers are open to atmosphere, hence the hot water pressure will be equal to the static water head (height of which geyser is mounted). The low pressure solar geyser can be used on municipal water supply if a pressure reducing valve is used on the cold water supply to the plumbing system (this will allow mixer taps and showers to have balanced water pressure between hot and cold water). The auxiliary tank acts as a pressure reducing valve on the hot water side,
Confirm that the geyser is facing north (glass tubes). Confirm that no objects are casting shadows on the geyser (palm trees, satellite dish, chimney, etc). Allow between 4 to 6 hours for the water to heat up during the day. Take note: For each litre of hot water removed, a litre of cold water is added to the geyser, bringing down the water temperature. Ensure the geyser size is adequate for the family's hot water consumption.
Yes, we offer retrofit manifold kits. The kits include class tubes, a manifold for the glass tubes, 10W solar panel and 12V circulation pump. All that is required are some plumbing supplies (pipe, non-return valves, fittings, insulation) to connect the manifold which is mounted on a roof to the existing geyser. When the sun rises, the 10W solar panel will power the 12V pump which will circulate water from the existing geyser to the manifold and back. The water from the manifold is heated by the sunlight via the glass tubes.
There is a vacuum between the inner and outer glass tubes. Sunlight passes through the outer tube and the vacuum and heats the inner, black tube. That heat then cannot get out, as there is no convection through the vacuum. Radiation losses are minimal. The heat can then only be transferred into the inside of the inner tube, where it is taken up by water or a heat transfer system. During winter months, outside temperatures are much lower than the geyser water temperatures. This should cause heat loss, but with the vacuum, heat loss is minimized. This allows the geyser to still be efficient during winter months and prevents water from freezing in the glass tubes.
We recommend at least 50 L per person for low pressure, and 80L per person for high pressure systems. It depends on the water consumption of the family and the availability of sunlight throughout the day.
No, electrical backup is optional for cloudy days.
The geyser will still be able to provide you with some heating as a quarter of the sun's energy gets through the clouds. It is also recommend to install an electrical backup element which can be manually switched on or electronically controlled.
It depends on the balance between how much sunlight, how many tubes and how much water is used. If you do not use hot water, they usually boil on the third day on normal partly cloudy days, summer or winter. In winter, the incoming water is colder, you use more hot water, and day length is shorter, but there are fewer clouds than in summer. It is wise to install an electric backup for cloudy days or when you use too much hot water.
Most solar geysers don't require any maintenance, tubes can be cleaned once in a while to increase effectiveness.
You need to have enough roof space that is free from shade. The roof also needs to be able to support the weight of the solar geyser system.
No they are not we do however have the European Standard of approval. These are all stainless steel tanks.
The installation material is not supplied by us, your installer will provide it.
A magnesium sacrificial anode rusts before the stainless steel. This is to make the tank last longer. But the tanks are of a good quality stainless steel, so the anode is not really necessary.
Low pressure: push the green plastic part into the open end of the tube, and push the tube, anode first, into the tank. High pressure: There is a bronze plug at the bottom of the tank, which holds the anode inside the tank. Unscrew the plug, screw the new anode onto the plug, insert and screw in.
Do not use it. It is made for overseas ambient temperatures to improve heat transfer. The solar radiation in our country is high enough for the geyser to function without it. The paste will harden in the copper pocket, making it difficult to remove when tubes have to be removed.
The brand does not matter however the type and specification has to be the same as the original valve supplied with the geyser. Or you can purchase it from The Sun Pays.
Yes a replacement anode can be purchased.
Yes, all The Sun Pays geysers can accept an electrical element.
The Sun Pays geysers use a normal 'boss' type screw in element. Usually 2kW (red) is used.
You should be able to get it from any hardware or electrical store. But it is also available from The Sun Pays.
Depending on how it is used: If the element is always on you can set it quite low, like 40 degrees Celsius. If only on when used as backup: fairly high, about 60 degrees Celsius.
Yes, there is a SR609 controller that allows you to program for three different times of the day to switch on the electric element if the temperature is below the desired temperature.
You can use an element up to 2kW with the SR609
You cannot connect a bigger element than a 2kW directly to the SR609 controller, but if you install it with a relay then you can use a bigger element.
You do not have to install an electrical element on your solar geyser, but it is very convenient to have the back-up for rainy/cloudy days, or even when you have visitors and use more hot water than normally.
Your normal electrical geyser uses about 25% to 50% of your total electricity bill. So you can expect to save 25 to 50% on your electricity bill if you purchase the correct size solar geyser.
We would normally recommend to work on at least 50L per person to determine the size of the tank needed when you are buying a low pressure solar geyser, and to work on at least 60L per person to determine the tank size when you are buying a high pressure solar geyser.
We do sometimes find that the soldering on the back of the SR609 melts. This could be due to overlapping time settings, an element that is too big or an element that is on for very long periods. It can be fixed quite easily. Please phone the office.
It is most likely the probe wire or probe that is faulty. It can be replaced. The easiest way to test is to take the probe from the element and hold it tightly in your hand or under your arm. If it reads 37 degrees Celsius, the probe is OK. If it is higher, you probably have a fever.
Yes, it can be replaced.
Yes the manifolds can be used on any existing electrical geyser. If your existing electrical geyser is quite old it might be better to replace it as it might not last as long with the higher temperatures that can be expected.
Every household's hot water consumption patterns and hot water usage is different so there is no set number on how much you will save. An accepted estimation of the potential savings is that in an average South African home up to 60% of the electricity cost comes from conventional geyser water heating and of this up to 80% can be saved by switching to a solar geyser.
No, in the long term a solar geyser can save you up to 90% of your household's hot water electricity expenses. Especially low pressure geysers have a very short payback period.
The solar geyser comes with a frame which is at an optimal angle. The frame can be mounted on a flat roof or on a pitched roof. For pitched roofs, the geyser is mounted on the top, over the ridge so that the geyser frame (front and back) is on both sides of the roof sides (glass tubes facing north). For manifolds (retrofit kits), the tubes can be mounted on a flat roof or a pitched roof. Angles can be between 0 degrees and 30 degrees with the tubes facing north.
Please do not use the plastic washer, this will harden and weaken the frame in the long term.
Remove the plastic cap. Be careful not to pull the stainless steel pipe out, only a 15 mm vent seal holds it in place. Extend the stainless steel pipe with a 15mm copper pipe to the same height as the auxiliary tank. This pipe must be OPEN to let air in when water gets drawn from the tank.
You can find it at any hardware- or plumbing retailer. The size stopper is 32 mm male galvanised.
You can bend the outer element side wall until the element spanner fits. You will not lose your warranty. Newer models should not have this problem.
Tile roof - make use of aluminium or galvanised bracing strap. Fasten it against the legs of the frame, pass it under the tile into the roof. Tighten it around the main roof truss. Metal type roofs- Make use of self-drillers to fix the foot plates onto the roof sheet and waterproofing to seal for water leaks.
If the cold water pressure at the mixer (shower) is higher than the hot water pressure, the water will be pushed back through the outlet of the geyser when the mixer valve is open. The water will then run out of the auxiliary tank. A. Make sure the auxiliary tank is 100% vertically installed. B. Plug the extra bottom outlet side wall with a 15 mm stopper. C. Use enough plumbers tape/ Hemp when installing the auxiliary tank to the 22mm inlet. Also when using threaded fittings. D. Open the auxiliary tank's top lid, inspect if the ball valve closes properly.
The seal between the tube and the tank can be damaged or pushed from its seat. Remove the tube with the leak and replace or re-seat the seal. It often happens with first time installers.
Use a piece of copper tube to extend it to the same height as the top of the auxiliary tank on the geyser.
First verify the leak. 1. If it leaks from the copper sleeve itself then you can replace the sleeve. This is usually caused by water quality problems. 2. If it leaks from the tank itself then you will have to replace the drum.
Yes, you need the frame to keep the glass tubes together and to prevent them from being damaged. You can modify the frame to fit your needs, but the frame is critical.
Yes, you can install your solar geyser on a tile roof. The rear upright leg of the stand is not installed, and on the bigger sizes it is wise to put that leg horizontally on the tiles to spread the weight at the point where the stands touches the tiles.
You will need special brackets that will fit in underneath the tiles of your roof. The brackets are U shaped and mostly made from flat bar.
Make sure that the auxiliary tank is installed level and in an upright position on top of the solar geyser. If the water quality is low, then residue can build up on the valve causing obstruction and the valve cannot close properly. If the cold water pressure at the shower mixer valve is higher than the hot water pressure, the water can flow back through the tank and leak from the small tank. Often installers then install a pipe that opens above the small tank. The water then runs into the small tank's insulating foam, The foam then swells, bends the tank's inside and the ball then gets stuck against the inner side of the small tank.
For the geyser to be at its most effective it should be facing North. If it faces east, it will work only in the morning. If west, only in the afternoon.
No. use plumbers tape or hemp instead. The stainless steel boss the element screws into often breaks the fibre washer and causes leaking.
The same length as the height of small auxiliary tank.
NO. Never put any valve on a low pressure geyser. The tank will burst the first time it boils, and the warranty will be void. The vent pipe must always be open.
No, you must only use soapy water. Any other substances like oil / grease / Vaseline will damage the silicone seal and cause the geyser to leak.
If the incoming pressure is high, it is wise to install a 400kPA master flow valve between your incoming supply and the geyser. This will regulate the pressure that is does not exceed the valve installed.
If it is a low pressure geyser and its leaking from the broken tube, remove the broken tube and plug it with something similar in diameter. The bottom part of the broken tube can sometimes be used as a plug. If it's a high pressure geyser just remove the broken tube and replace it when you can. The low- and high pressure geysers can still be operational even with a few broken tubes. Contact us for replacement tubes.
If you have a high-pressure geyser then you do not need to worry about water leaking from the glass tube as the system is a closed system and no water is inside the glass tubes. If you have a low-pressure geyser then depending on how the glass tube is broken it might leak water or may not leak water. If the water is leaking from the tube, you would need to replace the tube. In the meanwhile, until you get a replacement tube/s you can search for any non-alcoholic refreshment that is 58mm in diameter if you measure the bottom of the bottle. This bottle can then be inserted via a turning action after you have added some sunlight liquid to the neck part of the bottle, into the geyser opening. Contact us for a replacement.
If the tube breaks completely on a low pressure solar geyser the water will flow out from the hole/broken tube. Be careful it will most likely be very hot. If the bottom of the tube is not broken you can use it as a plug to close the hole, and the solar geyser will still be able to work - just with one less tube heating the water.
Nothing will happen - the geyser will still be working, only with one less tube heating the water.
If you look at the bottom end of the glass tube it needs to be silver - if it is silver the vacuum is intact, and the tube will heat, provided that the tube gets full sun.
The glass tubes can handle up to 38mm diameter hail - this is slightly smaller than golf ball size.
Low-pressure 100L= 159.7kg 150L= 229.4kg 200L = 304.4kg 250L= 372.4kg All models have 4 legs, except 250L with 6 legs.
You do not have to, but it is highly advisable to use the auxiliary tank to control the incoming water pressure. The water level must be just above the geyser tank, and this small tank does the job.
Yes you can control the incoming water pressure with a 100kPa Latco valve - but rather use the small auxiliary tank. It is just much more dependable.
Yes. You can use a low pressure solar geyser if you have municipal water supply. The pressure of both the hot and cold water must be the same at the mixer taps (like the shower). The cold water pressure can be adjusted using a 100kPa black and white Latco Valve.
Yes the silicon seals can be replaced. It should only be necessary in exceptional circumstances, as these seals are very durable. Avoid oily substances, as it will degrade the seals.
The black seals/rings are dust covers that only makes the geyser look better, and to keep dust and water out of the insulating foam.
Yes you can control the incoming water on your low pressure geyser manually, using a valve on the inlet pipe, and then closing the valve when the water runs out the vent.
You will be able to use the water from the low pressure solar geyser until it is empty - it will not cause problems on the solar geyser as there will always remain water in the glass tubes.
Yes a low pressure geyser can be used up to the point where the water is below the outlet. It will not cause any problems on the low pressure solar geyser.
High pressure 100L: 168.5kg 150L: 243.9kg 200L: 321.1kg 250L: 321.1kg All models have 4 legs, except 250L with 6 legs.
This is most likely one of the copper pockets that has a small leak. It is usually caused by water quality problems. With the high pressure tube there is a copper pipe with a condenser \"finger\" that fits into a copper pocket on the solar geyser. This can be checked by removing the tube and checking to see if the water leaks from the copper pocket. The copper pocket can be replaced.
You will not be able to get water from the high pressure solar geyser if there is no incoming water supply - very much the same as with a normal electrical geyser.

Solar panels only stop generating electricity when the sun has set. That means at night and during eclipse. The sun is a constant. It routinely rises and sets every day. It is therefore more predictable and reliable than a power station.
Solar energy not only reduces air pollution and our dependence on non-renewable energy sources but it also improves humanity's health and help fight climate change.
A watt is a measure of energy which is used for calculating the power of a circuit. A single watt (W) is equivalent to one joule (J) per second.
A charge controller regulates the incoming direct current to ensure that the batteries are charged correctly, and to protect the battery. Do not connect a PV panel to a battery without a charge controller. The battery life will be very short.
